Sometimes when I try to open an AutoCAD DXF file I get a different message: "The data must be migrated to the PTC Creo Elements/Direct Annotation structure. When I try to open an AutoCAD DXF file I sometimes get the following message: "The file Connector Piece 9zzv - 2013 - dxf.log cannot be loaded by any of the following methods: Packages, Universal MI." and then I cannot go further. Confirm to continue." Then I click "Continue." Then what happens is an extremely distorted version of my 3D AutoCAD drawing opens, with only a few lines and most of the drawing missing. When I try to open AutoCAD DWG files I first get the following message in Creo Elements: "The data must be migrated to the PTC Creo Elements/Direct annotation structure. ![]() I tried importing DWG files and DXF files into Creo but without success. I need to open 3D files I created in AutoCAD 2013. So as I said i need some type of general list step by step so i can start googling and learning on my own.I am using Creo Elements Direct Modeling Express 6.0. ![]() My main goal is to learn to design or model parts, assemblies, subassemblies, etc. What I actually need is some type of a list with some sort of steps what to learn step by step. On the internet i could not find any valuable resources that could help me with this. I would really like to start from bottom up, but here is a problem. I decided to start learning Creo parametric, from my understandings i do not need any background knowledge before start learning it ( i dont need to know any other software before start using it ) I found it very very exciting and interesting, that is why i decided to start learning and practicing it. I discovered 3d cad modeling few days ago and since then I cannot stop watching all types of videos on youtube that are related to mechanical engineering topic ( part design ). I am a student who is studying IT but im actually into programming for last 5-6 years. ![]() Hello people! Let me introduce myself first. ![]()
